S-Mark Inspections, part of the Seizmic Inc. family, was founded with the intention of providing customers with every inspection service necessary to ensure the safety and integrity of their racking systems. Our top-tier inspectors are experienced in virtually all areas within the material handling industry.
SERVICES
Rack Documentation
Inspection of the existing rack system to determine the type, manufacturer and capacity of the racks.
*Preliminary analysis of the racks will be provided with this service.
Damage Inspections
Inspectors will carefully assess the racks for any damage. A written report will be provided with any remedy or repair recommendations.
Quality/Safety Inspection
Inspectors will assess the safety and integrity of the rack and look for any safety concerns. Periodic/annual safety inspections are recommended for preventative maintenance.
A signed safety certificate is provided to display.
Anchor Inspection
A Deputy inspector will verify the type and size of the anchor that is called for in the approved plans. The inspector will observe the installation of the first several anchors to verify installation is per the manufacturer’s instructions. Periodic and final inspection of the anchor installation is required. A final report will be provided.
With approval from the building official, anchors that required special inspection, but were installed without a deputy inspector present, must be pull tested or torque tested.
Slab Inspection
Inspection of the concrete slab, to verify the capabilities of withholding the weight of the installed racks while being loaded to full capacity.
